Please do help to spread the word about this charity single! Many people have given their time for free to get us this far. We really hope you like the song - it has been getting a lot of positive feedback so far. The musicians, SSAFA staff, Grant Thornton, Loft Mastering and the RAC have all helped by donating their time or services. and in pushing this out to as many people and raising general awareness but YOU TOO CAN HELP!!!

Please post a link to this page on your Facebook, MySpace, or other social networking pages. You can grab the song widget to the left and place it on your website, blog or social network account. Failing that, please tell your friends, family, work colleagues and neighbours. Let´s raise as much as we can for charity and out do X Factor!

1st October: Release date set

A release date of 14th December has been set for the My Boy single. The song will be available to purchase online from iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Rhapsody, Napster and many other retailers from that date.

There will be a pre-order period from the beginning of November - we encourage anyone who is considering buying the single to pre-order if possible as the more sales we get in this period, the more chance we have of making it into the charts. This would not only be a great achievement, but would also be very good publicity for SSAFA.

There will be 3 tracks on the release and each will retail for around 79p.

30th September: update

Grant Thornton

Support for the My Boy project is continuing to grow, and we are very grateful to Grant Thornton for sponsoring the recording of the single. In addition, they will be helping to publicise the release through their internal staff communications network.

We are also very pleased to have some top-class musicians joining Chris on the project. On drums we have Jon Brookes from the Charlatans; on bouzouki and keyboard, Adrian Gallagher; on bass guitar, Alan Mills; Mark Brownridge on guitar and, of course, Chris on guitar and vocals.
